Coronation

I just got a letter from HMRC laying out penalties for submitting late they actually started in Januay.
They weren't hinting, it was done last week and not due until 7th June.
I do remember hearing of people who let (reclaims) build up for a year or two then considered it something they could use to splash out on a bigger purchase rather than almost fritter away as it came in.

Dad would often do two quarters of VAT returns at once. You’d think they wouldn’t be all that stringent when they always owe you money; understandable when it’s the other way around.

What did this have to do with the coronation again? Oh yes- HMRC…

Got that letter here too. Doesn't really apply as always in as early as possible so the money comes back as soon as possible. The hmmm bit, if what you owe them is overdue they charge bank rate +2.5%. If they owe you and are overdue they pay bank rate -1% interest
