It made me smile

An adorable note written by a little boy was spotted on the windscreen of a police car.

The message thanked officers for 'keeping us safe', which was signed by 'Adam'.

The heartwarming letter was discovered underneath the wiper of a Greater Manchester Police vehicle in the city centre.

It read: "To Police Officers. Thank you for saving lives and keeping us safe.

"I really like the police because they are kind and when I wave at them they always wave back."

It also included a drawing of an officer with a police car and a list of all the equipment they carry, including pepper spray, a radio and even a Taser, Manchester Evening News reports.

The message was shared by the GMP City Centre team on Facebook in an attempt to find Adam's parents and invite him to meet the officers.

However, he joked the little boy would not be allowed to test out the Taser.

Inspector Jon Middleton wrote: "Dear Adam. If you are reading this I would hope someone is showing you because you are probably too young to be on Facebook/Twitter.

@Phil the Dill am I missing an obvious 'it makes me smile' type thread

Typical farmer 😮 🙄:D

'Tiverton and Honiton MP Neil Parish nearly found himself being shot by police in Devon after he joined Jeremy Hunt’s motorcade without authorisation.

The incident happened before a Conservative Party leadership contest hustings event that took place in Exeter on June 28.

Prior to the event at Sandy Park, Mr Hunt, the then Foreign Secretary, had met Mr Parish at a cheese farm in his constituency.'

When Katherine Worsley married the Duke of Kent in York Minister, Dad, Granddad and the rest went to the village to see them pass by on the way back to Hovingham. Thinking they'd passed he gathered the clan into his car and somehow got mixed up in the convoy :D One of the neighbours saw them and said to another "I sure that was Jim", "Nah can't be"

There's a big pile of Sealife Centre leaflets in the school entrance, all ready for half term next week, with 50% off for up to 5 people.
Number 2 grabbed some on the way out this afternoon.....

"I've got 5", she said,
"Why? Are there 25 of us going?" says I,
"No, but we get 250% off now........"

😂😂😂

How I must have looked aged 4 hands stuffed firmly in my pinnafore pockets, refusing to hand over my halfcrown for the weeks school dinners. When the dinner came I handed it over and asked for two bob back, I thought I had to pay every day. When they wouldnt give it back, I went and sat on the door step p'd my pants and said I wanted to go home, as far as I was concerned I had been robbed. :cautious:
