Seems a shame they are going to auction, but at least she never sold him down the river, before he was cold…
At 72 I suppose she has to look closely at her own life, she obviously doesn’t need the money, or it would have been gone years ago, but it would probably fit better if she donated them to some kind of musical museum if any actual exist! 🤷‍♂️

I think there are quite a few bits going to museums etc,

So why sell/auction ???
she can’t need the money, or it would have been getting sold bit by bit over the years, his musical genius was iconic. In my opinion it should all go to museums.
But it’s not my decision to make.
 
Maybe there's too much for museums to take. They'd be more interested in his creative works than his furniture or home decor. Keeping stuff in museums costs money that they often don't have. Personally, I'd like to see the creative stuff in a museum rather than held privately, but you have to offer some/enough of that to get the punters in the door I suppose.
