Got your ears on me old Agmatters chum/ chumettes ?

Going to fit a period CB in midlife crisis.
(A) Because I have one.
(B) It'll cover up a bit of iffy cab body work.

Looks like aerial will be mounted on either cab grab handle, or door mirror bracket. Struggling to see how to route cable into cab tidily without drilling holes etc. Any ideas ?

10/4 good buddies.

Is there not a side window with squishy rubber seal or top corner of door even.
You might find a way into cab under the dash somewhere since other cables and controls come through somehow.

Mounting on the rear mudguard is an option, then as said though a side window.
Other option, down the grab handle, across under the front window, under bonnet, up though the steering column with other wires. Thinking it'll look untidy though. 🤔
A lot seem to fit on door mirrors. How does this work ?

It will be a widely available mount as they were often done like that on lorry cabs.
Don't forget the base needs good connection to earth though a cable back to solid metal will do.
You might be able to lift the cab roof to slide a cable through.
A neatly done hole is no big deal with proper grommet.

Up through under side console would be me. Or follow hot water pipes up the right hand b pillar. Thread a length of wire down from the open top.
Mount an earthed plate on top of cab and fix to that?

Still got a few here, brand new Midland 150M still in the box , 4001 40 channel and one 80 channel always meant to try them.

Can you not lift the cab roof and run it that way, or better still run it out where the front work lamp cables go

Does the radio have SWR meter built in, quite important to tune it or will blow TX transistor after a while
