todmorden,s tree was a weedy pathetic example ,all the knuckle draggers raced to social media and started banging their knuckles on the cobbles in protest , HEBDEN BRIDGE HAS A BETTER ON THAN US ,WE DEMAND A NEW ONE . Next day in swampland a chìpping team turn up and put said twig through the shredder. someone on the council had noticed an amazing specimen spruce complete with giant cones on a piece of council land in walsden so a felling team was dispatched and said fine specimen was proudly displayed for all to swing from and beat their chests . fast forward to next day and a walsden widow goes to place some flowers under her husband's memorial tree . can you see where im going with this only in odmorden

Calls for log import suspension over beetle concerns

Farmers who grow commercial forestry are calling for the suspension of log imports from Scotland until better safeguards are in place to prevent the spread of the spruce bark beetle to this country.
