Panic complacency here, people are over the endless spin and bullshit from the government.
People are beginning to question the government's strategy moving forward because they appear to have none.

I think that it's more a nervous realisation that this is here to stay in some way, shape or form.
The valley over the back of the fell from us is currently experiencing a spike. I know of a mum of 3 (around 30) that was blue-lighted into hospital with it last week (now discharged), a farm walk had to be cancelled and a distant relative sadly died of it yesterday.

It's a mystery why they are so determined to vilify this drug which other trials have suggested to be beneficial.
It is cheap though and doesn't make big pharma anything like the profit they get from vaccines.
Surprise surprise using the horse dose instead of the human dose is dangerous.
In many parts of the world a lower dose of ivermectin is regularly prescribed for a range of problems.
Whether it helps a whole lot against Covid seems unproven but it is not in itself dangerous.

Similar with dexamethasone, which doctors know works, and they've been using with success.
Our vet said, duh, we've been using it for years 🙄 It's not dead unless it's had a shot of dex.
I was heading straight to the vet cupboard if I started feeling badly. Might even have used a new needle as a treat 🤔😁

This current Prime Minister is often 'dead set' on a strategy ... until he isn't.

Look at nightclub passports. Or not. Earlier this year - nope. Wasn't happening. Then, right up to Friday, they were happening according to his 'scientific advisers'. Then yesterday - they aren't, leaving said advisers floundering.

So if this blustering, overblown clown, who can't lie straight in anyone's bed, told me it was Monday, I'd be looking at the calendar. (It is Monday isn't it? :rolleyes: :))

One thing about the positive test rates (not really cases IMO) is how unpredictable they are in fact they have a penchant for doing the exact opposite of what 'experts' think.
So schools going back = higher numbers is turning into schools go back = lower numbers.

Something which is increasingly obvious is that double vaxxed seem very inclined to test positive soon after #2 jab and have 'mild symptoms'
They must then insist how lucky they are to have been vaxxed and how it probably saved them from being on a ventilator.
That was the essence of the Peston fuss over the weekend that if you are over 40 you have considerably higher chance of testing positive if vaxxed than unvaxxed.
But if you do get it you are likely to be worse affected.

The countries with highest vax rates are Israel and UK and are both having a further surge in 'cases' which countries with lower vax rates aren't seeing.
In mainstream media none of this may be mentioned, and if you were to put it on twitter they would probably give you a 30 day ban.

Let's figger out the PM's logic, we had been doing OK till she and her government let the Delta Covid strain into Auckland NZ at the UN's request, we then get cross contamination and then community transmission and with ONE person the whole country goes to Lockdown Level 4.
Community transmission in the greater Auckland area is a problem and the numbers are slowly increasing yet the PM have lowered Auckland to Level 3!!!
Then on top of that they have let a number of people through the border when common sense, logic and the disease management strategy states quite clearly that it that's totally unacceptable and illeagal, yet no one in government accepts any responsibility.😡
