A Conservative police and crime commissioner who promised a road safety crackdown has been banned from driving after she was caught speeding five times in 12 weeks.
Caroline Henry, the PCC Nottinghamshire Police, previously admitted the offences and has said she is "really sorry".

She was fined £2,450 and banned for six months for going over 30mph limits in a blue Mercedes and a Lexus with a personal number plate.
There have been calls for her to step down but she has said she wants to stay on in the £76,000-per-year job.
Henry was captured speeding twice near a primary school in Daybrook, Nottingham; on the A610, and in Chilwell and Beeston.

She was recorded going as fast as 40mph, as well as 38mph and 35mph, during a 12-week period from March to June last year.

District Judge Leo Pyle said the showed Henry was "driving at consistent speeds above the speed limits".

Henry was teary at times as she gave evidence on Monday, reported the Nottingham Post.
She told the court that relying on public transport would cause "exceptional hardship" and make it difficult to transport her children.

He actually went to the trouble of overtaking an ambulance that was on an emergency call, then drove like a complete bag of :poop: in front of it. I assume it wasn't his loved one that needed their services.

Did you punch him?
Didn’t see him. Police had taken details and let him go before I got there. His drunk girlfriend spent the night in a cell so they could get a statement from her when she sobered up. Sounds like they’re going to charge her with criminal damage because she caused the accident. Don’t know what they plan on doing to the driver, they let him home before they knew he was uninsured.

I thought the whole point of yous not having tax discs etc on your windscreen was that all the information was available to the cops via ANPR so it was easier for them to do their job?
