The bike looks to be clogging on and not insured but I bet if it was me in the car, I'd have got done for turning across the traffic

Edit. Just seen this

Accident wouldn't have happened if bike had been going within speed limit. Not guilty.

Haven't got round to posting it but she was acquitted yesterday, dead biker was off duty cop which wasn't disclosed until after the verdict. Fecked with her mental health

"collision wouldn't have happened if he'd been doing less than 96mph"😲

If the question is that we are working to acceptable rational tolerances,,then those who exceed these tolerances must do so at their own liability and risk if even fatal.
Its a bit like the time I was nearly hitting a motorcyclist after a sharp flat 90° corner at the bottom of the hill, just maybe you shouldn't have passed me at probably double the speed limit coming down the hill. ....

Mr Lowe said: "They were talking about cutting up the car where it was and scrapping it.
"It's a brand new car as well."
I'd have thought they would have just put it in reverse
That is exactly what I did when I accidentally went down a similar path
Obviously I didn't keep driving until it was stuck

"Mr Lowe and his colleagues came up with a plan.
"We had to winch the car backwards all the way using a winch right at the top of the path," he said."

Not exactly rocket science is it :D

Sister took the girls to watch the women's footy last night at Manchester. Set off at 3 to get ahead of the traffic but at least 3 drivers had managed to drive into another vehicle at various points on the M62. Took 3.5hrs to do 90 miles. Match was scheduled for Sunday but Sky Sports dictated it had to be moved to last night with only 10 days notice  At least it wasn't a nil-nil draw after all that ⚽⚽--⚽⚽

2 all??? 🤔🤔🤔

It doesn't look like an unsafe overtake especially if they were both only doing 20mph.
If the cars had been more to the left there would have been ample space to get by without crossing the line its quite wide road.

Rules are rules, double yellow lines are there for a reason and what applies for the car driver also applies for the motorcyclist too. The fact the motorcyclists has crossed the double yellow lines means no only has the rider put their life at potential risk but also any other vehicle user in the opposite direction.
He should have known better.

A470 is the main north /south road some of those parts around Dolgellau are as good as it gets, it wouldn't be 20mph territory though. Some long straight stretches on which a powerful bike that could really open out, perhaps safely??

Just Google motorcyclist killed on A470 to see how many come up.
